Fall Fun Takes Over Frankenmuth at Scarecrow Fest

Fall Fun Takes Over Frankenmuth at Scarecrow Fest

There’s nothing quite like fall in Frankenmuth. Crisp air, colorful leaves, pumpkins around every corner — and, of course, plenty of scarecrows! Scarecrow Fest returns October 17 through November 1, 2026, bringing seasonal fun to Michigan’s Little Bavaria.

What Is Scarecrow Fest?

Throughout Scarecrow Fest, businesses around Frankenmuth create their own unique scarecrow displays and compete for visitors’ votes. As you make your way through town, keep an eye out for everything from classic scarecrows to creative characters you might not expect.

See a favorite? Cast your vote and help one local scarecrow earn the coveted Golden Broom!

And while you’re exploring, be sure to stop by the Frankenmuth Cheese Haus to see our scarecrow, snap a photo, and cast your vote.

Two Weekends of Fall Fun

The festivities really get going during two special weekends at Frankenmuth River Place Shops: October 17–18 and October 24–25.

The first weekend is Dog Weekend, while the second turns the spotlight toward the kids. Throughout the festival weekends, families can enjoy fall activities including pumpkin bowling, arts and crafts, live entertainment, trick-or-treating, and the always-popular pumpkin catapult.

Whether you’re bringing the whole family, your four-legged friend, or simply looking for an excuse to enjoy a fall day in Frankenmuth, there’s plenty happening around town.

Make the Cheese Haus Part of Your Fall Day

All that exploring calls for a snack!

While you’re in town for Scarecrow Fest, stop into the Frankenmuth Cheese Haus and stock up on your favorite cheeses, meats, spreads, and snacks. It’s the perfect time to discover something new for a cozy fall night, game-day spread, or weekend get-together.

And don’t forget to visit our scarecrow before you leave!
